Summer Reading for Rising 1st Graders
Enjoy reading quality books to your child this summer! There are so many wonderful children’s books to choose from at your public library or local bookstore, or you can choose from the list of suggestions below. Our hope is that you will choose many, read aloud often to your child throughout the summer, and share your six favorite books with us. You can do this by helping your child fill out a response form for each of your favorites. You can choose to print the form, complete it by hand and mail (or bring) it to the school, or complete the online submission form. If all six responses are received by the first week of school, your child will receive a one subject off homework pass to be used at a time of their choosing. We hope that this will help to build a love of books and interest in reading that will contribute to a great start to the new school year!
